Bluming Travelers

Thailand Part 1 – (October 7 – October 10)

We are so excited to visit Thailand. We initially had the entirety of our time in Thailand being in one continuous leg of the trip, however we discovered that splitting it up between doing the Thai islands, using Phuket as a jumping off point, and then coming back later for more mainland Thailand, was more economically efficient. This was going to work well, but we had to change our timeline and take a day off of this part of the trip to get a much, much cheaper flight. We did a lot of research to try and salvage our plans after this, but we realized that transfers and time to go to any other islands would take off a huge chunk of our time and probably not be worth it. We decided to just use this time to explore some of Phuket and relax for the first time since starting our trip.

Phuket is known for being somewhat of a party island as well as a beach destination, but not particularly being the spring-breaker type of people or beach people, we decided to figure out how to do Phuket in a way that we could get the most out of our short time. We are very excited to be able to relax and take it easy for a few days, while also getting to experience the more gritty and less westernized areas of Southeast Asia.
