Our next country to visit is Malaysia, specifically peninsular Malaysia. We are technically going to be in Malaysia until October 25th, but will explain more about this in our next stop!
Malaysia is, in a lot of ways, supposed to be similar to Singapore. It has similar ethnic groups, similar food, and is right next door. We are excited to assess the similarities and differences, though knowing that Malaysia has some more history than the young country of Singapore. We will be visiting two of the largest areas (Kuala Lumpur – the capital, and Penang – specifically the city of George Town) as well as the much smaller town of Ipoh. We are very excited to travel across Malaysia and get back to the faster-paced and busier traveling after a very relaxed pace in Phuket!
